Twitter GIF size limit has expanded to 15MB

Good news, GIF lovers on: Twitter has expanded the size limit for GIF support up to 15MB.

It’s awesome for media outlets which frequently uses GIFs in tweets to illustrate products, but also for when you’re trying to GIF battle with your friend and a low quality GIF just won’t do.

Only caveat? The expanded support is available on just Twitter.com – no such luck for mobile apps and TweetDeck. When Twitter expanded GIF size limit from 3MB to 5MB, it also wasn’t supported by third party API integrations, so you may have to wait a while if you refuse to use the official Twitter product.giphy
